Michael Shamos

Mike Shamos is a computer scientist and Distinguished Career Professor in Carnegie Mellon University’s Language Technology Institute. He’s also a patent lawyer, former big law partner, former founder, and billiards historian. After leaving firm life, Mike became a very sought after expert witness where he felt the pain of patent searching everyday as he prepared for trial.
