Greg Poorman

Director, RWE & HEOR at Dorsata

Greg Poorman has held various roles in the healthcare industry since 2011. Greg earned a Biological Sciences B.A. from Cornell University in 2011, then worked as a Research Fellow at NYU Langone Health from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they compiled data, ran statistical analyses, and wrote research articles for senior hospital personnel resulting in publication of over 60 analyses. Greg also built study databases using medical billing codes (ICD-9 and CPT) and EPIC patient chart review, and investigated hospital quality and cost priorities using AHRQ data, Press Ganey data, ACS NSQIP data, and hospital medical records (EPIC). In 2018, they worked as an Anti-Infectives Health and Economic Outcomes Research Intern at Pfizer, where they created market access materials for antimicrobial products and conducted Health Economics modelling of hospital costs associated with antimicrobial products. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Public Health Management and Policy Master's Candidate at NYU College of Global Public Health, where they applied an equity-focused model to UNICEF child mortality work and performed analysis on global surveillance data. In 2019, they worked as an Associate at Pfizer. Since 2020, they have been working at OPEN Health Evidence & Access as an Associate Scientist and Senior Research Analyst, and in 2022 they will become the Director of RWE & HEOR at Dorsata.
