Rashed Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi-American business executive who is currently the Vice President of Operations at Dose, a social media research company. Rashed has over 10 years of experience working in various industries, including management consulting, private equity, and market research.
Rashed Chowdhury was born in Bangladesh and moved to the United States with their family when they were four years old. Rashed grew up in Queens, New York and attended Stuyvesant High School, a public magnet school for science and mathematics. After graduating from high school, they attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where they received their Bachelor's degree in Economics.
After graduation, Chowdhury began their career as an analyst at The Keystone Group, a management consulting firm. Rashed then interned at Deloitte in their International Tax Quantitative Consulting Services group. Rashed later worked as a engagement leader at Stax Inc., a management consulting firm that specializes in private equity. In this role, they led strategic transaction advisory for private equity clients with a focus on understanding market opportunity, competitive dynamics and voice of customer. Rashed also led value creation / strategic growth projects for portfolio companies and corporate clients.
In 2013, Chowdhury joined Galt & Company, a management consulting firm, as a director. In this role, they led financial, organizational and strategic analyses for Fortune 100 executive teams to identify, evaluate and implement the highest value alternatives driving superior client performance in both the customer and capital markets.
Chowdhury left Galt & Company in 2016 to join Dose as their Vice President of Operations. In this role, they is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations and ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently. Rashed is also responsible for leading the company's strategy and growth initiatives.
Under Chowdhury's leadership, Dose has experienced significant growth and has become one of the leading social media research companies in the world. Rashed has been instrumental in helping the company to develop new products and services that have helped to improve the way that businesses conduct market research. Chowdhury is passionate about helping businesses to better understand their consumers and believes that social media is the key to unlocking this valuable insights.
Rashed Chowdhury attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Finance, and a minor in Technology & Management. While in college, they were Treasurer of Beta Alpha Psi, a Professional Business Information Fraternity, where they were responsible for financial planning, tax filing, and maintenance of organizational funds of $20,000. Rashed was also a Class XII Member of the Hoeft Technology & Management Program, and completed a capstone project for a Fortune 500 company to provide a business plan for a product in development.
