Dosher Memorial Hospital
William Meacham is a skilled hospitalist with extensive experience in healthcare, having served at Dosher Memorial Hospital since July 2015. Prior to this role, William worked as a hospitalist for the National Health Service Corps from July 2015 to July 2017 and completed a family medicine residency at North Mississippi Medical Clinics, Inc. from July 2012 to June 2015. William's medical training includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, which was obtained between 2008 and 2012, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina State University. Approximately one mile from the Cape Fear, the hospital is located in the coastal historic town of Southport, N.C. in Brunswick County. The hospital is overseen by a publicly-elected Board of Trustees and generously supported by a volunteer force of nearly 200, making Dosher Hospital unique in the state of North Carolina. We serve the areas of Southport, St. James, Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Boiling Spring Lakes, Bolivia, Holden Beach, Calabash, Wilmington, Bald Head Island, and Brunswick County.
