Karen Buche SPHR, SHRM-SP has a rich and extensive work experience. Karen began their career at Centris Federal Credit Union in 1995 as the Vice President of Human Resources, where they served until 2005. Following this, they joined Adams, Inc. as a Recruiter from 2006 to 2008. Moving forward, they joined Douglas County Nebraska as an Employee Relations & Development Coordinator in 2008 and held this role until 2011. Beginning in 2011, Karen Buche served as the Human Resources Director at Sarpy County until 2015. Currently, they are employed by Douglas County Nebraska as the Human Resources Director, a position they have held since 2015.

Karen Buche SPHR, SHRM-SCP holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Business, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Certified Trainer from Achieve Global in February 2009 and Certified Customer Service & Sales Trainer from CUNA Mutual Group in November 1990. Karen is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
