Mick Jones Miam

Mick Jones MIAM serves as the Head of Asset Management at Dounreay since March 2021, overseeing governance and compliance with Site Licence Conditions and implementing best practice maintenance strategies. Previously, Mick held various positions at DSRL from June 2008 to October 2015, including Site Asset Manager and Principal Engineer in Asset Management and Maintenance Authority, focusing on asset management and regulatory compliance within the decommissioning strategy. Before that, Mick worked at Bombardier from June 2002 to May 2008, initially as a Reliability Engineer and later as Head of Service Support. Mick’s career began in the Royal Navy, serving for 16 years and attaining the rank of Chief Weapons Engineer Artificer (Mech) Ordnance. Education includes attendance at Thurso High School and Pennyland.
