Evangeline Gunnell has significant experience in fundraising and community engagement, currently serving as an Individual Giving Fundraiser and previously as a Fundraising Assistant at Dove House Hospice since October 2021. Prior to this role, Evangeline worked at Co-op as a Member Pioneer from September 2020 to September 2021 and held various positions at ODEON Cinemas Group from August 2015 to September 2021, including a secondment as a Cinema Experience Manager where responsibilities included cash handling, staff training, and mental health initiatives. Additionally, Evangeline coordinated events as a Volunteer Events Coordinator for Hull University Union RAG from June 2018 to June 2019, raising funds for local and national charities. Early experience includes volunteering as a Care Assistant at Moorlands Care Home from October 2013 to July 2015. Evangeline's educational background includes A-Levels in Religious Studies, Philosophy & Ethics, Spanish, and Music from Carmel College VI Form, Darlington.

Dove House is a charity providing excellent care for people in the local community with life limiting illnesses. Families from across the region - Hull and the East Riding– can benefit from our services. We are a registered charity. Our annual running costs now exceed £6.6 million – of which over £3 million must be raised through voluntary giving. We make no charge for any of our services, ensuring hospice care is available to everyone. The hospice is constantly evolving to ensure we are offering the best possible care for our patients.
