Simon Plant

Simon Plant has a strong background in technology and engineering, with experience at various companies. Simon currently holds the position of VP of Technology at Paloma since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Fingermark from January 2021 to July 2021. From September 2016 to January 2021, Simon worked as the Director of Engineering at Sailthru. Before that, they held the role of Technical Manager at Skyscanner from June 2015 to September 2016, where they were responsible for managing a global travel meta search engine. Simon also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Skyscanner from March 2014 to June 2015. Simon began their career as an Analyst Programmer at Hymans Robertson from February 2011 to March 2014, where they developed financial modelling systems and web applications. Simon also worked as a Web Developer at KM Media Group from June 2010 to February 2011 and as a Software Developer at RCS from November 2008 to June 2010, where they developed broadcast software used by thousands of radio and TV stations worldwide.

Simon Plant attended New Plymouth Boys' Highschool from 2000 to 2004, where they completed NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3. After finishing high school, they pursued higher education at the University of Canterbury from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they achieved a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. Apart from their formal education, Simon also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Agile8 Consulting Limited, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
