Waldo van Paddenburg

Waldo van Paddenburg has extensive experience in software development and quality assurance. Waldo began their career as a Development Test Engineer at Navman in 2009. From there, they worked as a Senior Quality Engineer at Mio Technology, leading the testing phase for various navigation products. Waldo then joined TomTom as a Senior Quality Engineer, ensuring the quality and coordination of mobile navigation app deliveries. After that, they served as a Test Consultant at Atos, where they worked on mobile QA and test automation projects for clients in the banking, public services, and education sectors. At IceMobile, they worked as an Automation Test Lead, developing and maintaining a mobile test automation framework. Waldo then moved to Vodafone, where they took on multiple roles as a Technical Agile Coach, React Native Developer, and Automation Test Lead. Waldo later joined Air New Zealand as a Developer in Test Engineering, leading the development of test/automation frameworks for flight monitoring software. At NZME., they worked as a React Native & Platform Developer, contributing to the refresh of the NZ Herald app. Most recently, they joined Paloma (previously Dovetail) as a React Native Developer and later became the React Native Lead, involved in the development of a React Native app for Afterpay. Throughout their career, Waldo has focused on continuous delivery, Agile and Lean methodologies, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.

Waldo van Paddenburg completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Sciences from The University of Auckland, from the year 2002 to 2004. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including ISTQB Foundation from ANZTB, ITIL v3 Foundation from ISEB Ltd, JavaScript Level III from Code School, and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org.
