Christian Wahrmund serves as the Critical Rotating Equipment Subject Matter Expert and Mechanical Engineering Program Lead at Dow, where responsibilities include leading a cross-functional team to develop a Flare Gas Recovery System aimed at significantly reducing flaring at Dow's Gulf Coast facilities. With experience in managing multi-million dollar projects, Christian has developed resource loading plans and specifications for various mechanical equipment. Prior experience includes a research and teaching assistantship at the ARM Lab at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where research focused on a novel exoskeleton design, as well as a senior design project creating a semi-automated conveyor system. Christian started a career in production enhancement engineering at Halliburton, focusing on cost reduction through innovative design. Academic achievements include a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
