Katherine Elbert is an Associate Research Scientist and Technology Scout at Dow, where responsibilities include designing polymers for sustainable construction solutions since January 2021. Previously, Katherine worked at the University of Pennsylvania Chemistry Department as a Graduate Student from September 2015 to December 2020 in the Christopher B. Murray group, focusing on dendrimer ligands for nanocrystal assemblies. Katherine's experience also includes research at Brookhaven National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Department of Energy Fellow, with a focus on materials chemistry and particle synthesis. Additionally, Katherine has held research positions at Haverford College and Columbia University, and has experience in teaching and legislative internship roles. Katherine earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, following a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Haverford College.
