Alfern Afonso

Alfern Afonso is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Finance Team Manager at Downer since October 2022, leading a team of 20 staff in the Facilities and Services sector with a focus on the Government Housing contract in the Trans-Tasman area. Prior to this role, Alfern worked as a Financial Accountant at Kensington Financial Group from June 2018 to October 2022 and served as a Business and Tax Accountant at Shakespeare Financial Group from November 2016 to June 2019. Alfern holds a Master's degree in Accounting from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from St Andrews College of Commerce, alongside credentials from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
