Bill Budds

Bill Budds has a robust career in law enforcement, spanning several roles within the Village of Downers Grove, Illinois, since December 1996. Currently serving as Support Services Manager since April 2018, Bill previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Police (Retired), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Patrol and Investigations Units. Other significant roles included Investigation Unit Supervisor, Police Lieutenant, Emergency Manager, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, and Detective, each involving increasing responsibilities related to investigations, emergency management, and supervision of law enforcement personnel. Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal/Social Justice from Lewis University and completed training at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety from 2002 to 2003.
