Stuart Colburn

Stuart Colburn is a seasoned attorney with over two decades of experience in the field of insurance defense, particularly specializing in workers' compensation claims and bad faith issues. Since September 2002, Stuart has served as a shareholder and attorney at Downs Stanford, acting as the firm's lobbyist and representative to the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers Compensation. Prior experience includes a role as Of Counsel at Adami, Goldman, & Shuffield for a brief period in 2002, and a partnership at Harris & Harris from 1995 to 2002, where Stuart directed hearings and managed attorney practices before the Workers' Compensation board. Stuart holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southwestern University.
