Laurie Spencer

Laurie Spencer has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering and project management fields.

Laurie is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at doxo since April 2018.

Prior to this, Laurie worked at Navigating Cancer from October 2015 to March 2018 as a Software Engineer.

Before that, they were a Software Engineer at FlexMinder from May 2014 to October 2015, where they developed and maintained health insurance site crawlers and parsers.

Laurie also has experience as a Software Engineer at Fidelity Life from August 2013 to March 2014, where they created a forms-based Rails app and improved RabbitMQ configuration.

Laurie served as a Technical Project Manager at Cequint, Inc. from March 2011 to March 2013, where they managed cross-team communication and the entire software lifecycle.

Prior to that, they worked as a Scrum Master / Technical Project Manager at Kiha from October 2010 to January 2011, coordinating releases and working with product managers.

Laurie also has experience as a Project Manager / Scrum Master at Visible Technologies from March 2009 to October 2010 and as a Project Manager / Software Engineer at Stottler Henke from January 1998 to February 2008, where they led software development projects and ensured timely project completion.

Laurie started their career as an Analyst at Southwest Research Institute in 1997.

Laurie Spencer has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. In 2013, they were a student at CodeFellows, where they focused on Ruby on Rails. Laurie also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to their higher education, they attended Capital High School.
