Matthew Hanson

Matthew Hanson is an experienced geologist with a solid background in various geological and exploration projects. Currently serving as a geologist at Doyon, Limited since February 2022 and as a business owner at Hapax Exploration since June 2021, Matthew specializes in core logging, project management, quality control and assurance, soil sampling, trenching, and geologic mapping. Previous roles include branch manager at ALS USA INC, safety and logistics technician at Beacon, and geologist at Kinross Gold Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed slope stability, ore control, and high wall mapping. Early career experience includes positions as a geologist at Metallogeny Inc. and exploration geologist at Avalon Development, focusing on various exploration techniques. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
