Joshua F. has had a diverse work experience. In 2021, they are currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Dozuki and as a Software Engineering Apprentice at iFixit. In 2020, they were a Deep Learning Research Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they developed and ran experiments on evaluating deep learning methods for MRI denoising and published an article. In 2019, they were a Computer Vision Undergraduate Researcher at University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where they utilized tensorflow, tensorflow probability, and keras to implement a MRF blind-spot network for image generation and worked with contemporary deep learning methods. In 2018, they were a Methods of Proof Grader, a Deep Learning Teaching Assistant, a Student Researcher, and a Data Science Teaching Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Finally, in 2013, they were a Software Engineer Internship and a Maintenance Technician at Shore Western Manufacturing, where they implemented numeric algorithms for signal processing in C++ using OpenGL, contributed to an extensive codebase for the optimization of a servo hydraulic PID controller, and extended real-time sensory graphical feedback on a system controller.
