Sara Fernandes

Sara Fernandes has extensive experience in early childhood education, currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher, Educational Resource Worker, and Designated Early Childhood Educator at Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board since November 2018. Previous roles include Preschool Instructor and Drop-in Leader at the City of Mississauga, as well as communications roles at Ryerson University. Sara has also worked as Program Head for YMCA of Greater Toronto, overseeing summer day camp programs, and provided one-to-one support for children with special needs as an Inclusion Facilitator. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Education from Niagara University (2022-2024), a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies from Ryerson University (2018-2019), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber (2014-2018).
