Marcus J.

Vice President of Science and Technology at DPH Biologicals

Marcus J. has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry spanning over several decades. Marcus started their career as a Cropping Systems Professor at Michigan State University, where they focused on designing sustainable and productive cropping systems. Marcus then joined Syngenta as a Product Evaluation/Technical Information Manager, leading the development of soybean trait strategies and training commercial teams on new varieties.

Marcus later joined Monsanto Company as a Technology Development Manager, leading field trials and ensuring regulatory compliance for their corn drought stress trait. Marcus then moved to NewLeaf Symbiotics, Inc. as the Vice President of Product Development, overseeing the commercial launch of crop protection/plant beneficial bacteria.

In 2014, Marcus joined ADAMA US as the Technology and Innovation Leader, managing a team of scientists and directing product design and expansion. Marcus also played a key role in the creation and management of sector lead positions and regional product development leads.

Prior to their current role, Marcus worked at ICL Specialty Fertilizers as the Market Development and Technical Services Lead, serving as a technical expert for the North American Specialty Agriculture business and managing product development direction for the sales agronomy team.

Currently, Marcus is the Vice President of Science and Technology at DPH Biologicals, where they are responsible for developing an innovative portfolio focused on soil and plant health. Marcus works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leads research efforts with universities and contract researchers to bring new products to market and enhance the performance of existing ones.

Marcus J. has a M.S. degree in Plant Pathology from Pennsylvania State University. Marcus also holds a PhD in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University.
