He is a medical Entrepreneur, a renowned Doctor, a prolific Author and a generous Philanthropist.

Dr. Akshay followed in the footsteps of his father, Homeopathic legend Dr. Mukesh Batra and received his medical degree (B.H.M.S.) in Homeopathy from KESCHK Homeopathic Medical College, Mumbai University. He has completed his Fellowship in Homeopathic Dermatology from Mumbai University of Health Sciences, C.P.H. – Pediatrics, and super specialization in Trichology (L.T.T.S. - Licentiate of The Trichological Society) from The Trichological Society, London. He completed a course of 3 to 5 years in less than 1 year and had the honor of being India’s 1st Trichologist from this esteemed institute.

Dr. Akshay has excelled not only in the medical field; his degree in Leadership from Harvard University, A.M.P. from the Indian School of Business, and Executive Education Program from the London Business School are testaments to his expertise in Business Management.

He joined his father’s practice when there were only 3 clinics and has been a crucial part of the growth story of Dr Batra’s ever since, working his way up from a practicing Doctor to an Executive Director, to CEO, then Deputy Managing Director and now Vice-Chairman and Managing Director.

He has shared his rich intellect on Trichology through the national best seller titled HAIR- Everything You Ever Wanted to Know, which has been published in 3 different languages.
