Samefko Ludidi, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2014, they founded their own company, dr. Ludidi bv, where they served as the Director-Scientist and provided human-centered health and vitality solutions. Samefko also worked as a Consultant in Food, Health, and Well-being at Maxima Medisch Centrum from 2014 to 2015.
From 2009 to 2013, Ludidi worked as a Ph.D. Candidate in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Maastricht University Medical Centre+. In 2016, they joined Zuyd Hogeschool as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Gastronomy and Health, where they conducted translational research in Food & Health and translated the research program to the educational program.
In 2021, Ludidi took on the role of Head of Nutrition at Team Qhubeka, a professional cycling team, and aimed to introduce their nutrition philosophy to the broader cycling community through the Qhubeka Charity. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Philips Domestic Appliances as part of The Food Academy, where they guide individuals in improving their lifestyle and health.
Samefko Ludidi, Ph.D. started their education in 1997 at Scholengemeenschap Sint Michiel/ Graaf Huyn College in Geleen, where they completed their VWO degree. Samefko then continued their education at Maastricht University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Movement Sciences with a minor in Bioregulation from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Physical Activity and Health - European Master of Metabolism and Nutrition from 2008 to 2009 at the same university. Finally, Samefko Ludidi earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Maastricht University between 2009 and 2014.
