Ralph Shuping

Ralph Shuping is a highly experienced project scientist currently working at the Laboratory For Atmospheric and Space Physics on the Emirates Mars Mission, specializing in the Emirates eXploration Imager camera team. With a strong background in astronomy and astrophysics, Ralph has held significant roles at the Space Science Institute, including Deputy Director and Director of Research, overseeing a substantial team and federally funded research programs. Previous positions include observatory scientist and software development lead at the NASA Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, along with teaching positions at various academic institutions. Ralph holds a PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
