Serena Foria

Serena Foria is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and innovation within the fields of plant genetics and biotechnology. Currently employed at Dr. Schär since September 2018, Serena focuses on corporate research and innovation, contributing to basic research initiatives. Prior experience includes a role as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Udine, where Serena developed a cis-genesis transformation system for grapevine breeding, and served as an invited lecturer on grape genetics and breeding. Additional roles include R&D Assistant at Diatech Pharmacogenetics, where Serena contributed to CE-IVD certification processes, and Assistant Researcher at IGA Technology Services, specializing in NGS genome data analysis. Serena's academic background includes a PhD in Agricultural Science and Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Udine and a degree in Agrobiotechnology from the University of Naples Federico II.
