Chief Scientist and Inventor at Dragonfly AI

Hamit Soyel has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2003. Hamit began their career as a Research Assistant of Computer Vision at Eastern Mediterranean University in 2003. From 2005 to 2011, they were a Lecturer in Computer Engineering at Cyprus International University. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London. During this time, they also served as Chief Technology Officer at QApps - Queen Mary University of London's App Store from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Research Fellow, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and Technology Advisor and Lead Developer - Dragonfly at Queen Mary University of London and Black Swan Data respectively. In 2019, they became Chief Scientist and Inventor at Dragonfly AI.

Hamit Soyel obtained a BSc in Computer Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University in 2003, followed by an MSc in Computer Engineering from the same institution in 2005. Hamit then went on to earn a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Eastern Mediterranean University in 2010. In 2020, they obtained a certification in Good Clinical Practice for Non-CTIMP from Barts Health NHS Trust.
