Dr. Leslie Jackson currently serves as the Associate Professor and Chairperson/Program Director of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program at Drake University since July 2020, also holding the position of Vice Chair of Occupational Therapy. Prior to this role, Dr. Jackson was an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Occupational Therapy at Chicago State University from February 2012 to May 2020, where responsibilities included overseeing internship programs and fieldwork placements for graduate students. Additional experience encompasses work as an Occupational Therapist at Palos Community Hospital, Quality Compliance Manager for Easter Seals’ Senior Community Service Employment Program, and Director of the Inclusive Child Care Project at Easter Seals. Dr. Jackson also served as a Practice Associate and Federal Affairs Representative for the American Occupational Therapy Association. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Indiana University Indianapolis, a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago, and an MEd in Early Childhood Education/Development from Erikson Institute.
