Chris Yu serves as the Engineering Director for Software and Algorithms at Draper Laboratory, a position held since May 2004, where responsibilities include overseeing mission-critical software solutions within various engineering divisions, such as Secure and Assured System Software and Signals, Sensors, and Navigation. In addition to leadership roles in these divisions, Chris Yu directs the Internal Research and Development/Education Office, managing a $25 million program focused on innovative technology development. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal Member of the Video Networking Group at Bell Laboratories from 1997 to 2004, specializing in video networking technologies for Lucent products. Chris Yu holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Information Sciences and Systems from Princeton University.
