Devon Beck

Devon Beck is a Senior Engineer in Advanced Materials and Microsystems at Draper since February 2023, specializing in novel materials and nanocomposites for additive manufacturing and microsystem integration. Previously, at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (May 2019 - February 2023), Devon developed advanced polymer, ceramic, and metal-based nanocomposites for direct write and FDM additive manufacturing. As an R&D Graduate Fellow at NASA (January 2018 - December 2018), Devon innovated aerospace coatings and adhesive materials for extreme environmental resilience. Prior roles include Research and Development Associate at AkzoNobel, where Devon contributed to fire-retardant coatings for aerospace, and Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, focusing on advanced materials for cartilage regeneration. Academically, Devon holds a Master's in Polymer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, professional development coursework from MIT in Ceramics and Materials Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Oakland University.
