Valpy Fitzgerald

Valpy Fitzgerald possesses extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Renewables Director at Drax Group since April 2021 and as Non Executive Director at Energybank since April 2016. Valpy has also held the position of Director at HEL Ltd since September 2015. Previously, at Opus Energy from August 2002 to April 2021, Valpy served as Director of Green Markets and Head of Renewables, focusing on renewable power purchasing, financing, and green certificates, as well as managing a risk department responsible for trading, hedging policy, demand forecasting, pricing, and internal analysis. Valpy's earlier role as Risk Manager at Centrica involved overseeing risk teams in both UK and Spanish operations from November 2001 to July 2002.
