Hazhar Abdullah is an experienced professional with a strong background in economic recovery and livelihoods programming, currently serving as the Economic Recovery Technical Coordinator with the Danish Refugee Council since September 2013. Previous roles at the organization include Livelihoods Deputy Program Manager, Economic Recovery Interim Coordinator, Livelihoods Project Manager, Livelihoods Specialist, and Livelihoods Team Leader. Prior to this, Hazhar worked as an Operations Supervisor at Ardan Security Company and as a Translator for the Kurdistan Women Union. Starting a career in public safety, Hazhar served as a firefighter for the Directorate of Civil Defense from December 2008 to December 2010. Hazhar holds a Master's degree in Business and Management Science from Kurdistan University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language from Salahaddin University-Erbil.
