Mary Beth McAndrews

Mary Beth McAndrews has a diverse work experience in the media industry. In their current role as Editor In Chief at Dread Central Media, LLC, they oversee content management and editing. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Writer and Editor, where they contributed to various entertainment sites and hosted film-centric podcasts. Mary Beth also served as a content editor for Film Cred and collaborated with a team of freelancers. McAndrews gained experience in digital and communications at the Humane Rescue Alliance, where they produced video content and managed social media platforms. Mary Beth also interned as a Video Editing Intern at Media Burn Independent Video Archive. In their previous roles at National Geographic and Discovery Communications, they focused on editing, social media management, and digital production. McAndrews started their career as a Social Media Intern at Animal Planet and was also an Editorial Intern at Brightest Young Things, where they contributed to various writing tasks and event coverage.

Mary Beth McAndrews earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature, General from St. Mary's College of Maryland, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they also spent a semester at the University of Oxford studying English Literature. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies at the University of Chicago from 2018 to 2019.
