Kate Cieplicki Curtis has extensive work experience across various organizations. Kate currently serves as the Director of Operations at DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Uncommon Schools from 2018 to 2022, first as a Director of Operations Fellow and later as a Reading Teacher and Grade Level Lead. From 2016 to 2018, Kate worked as an ELA Teacher at Metropolitan Lighthouse Charter School and also served as a 2016 Corps Member at Teach For America during the same period. Before that, they were a Group Home Staff Member at Catholic Charities USA from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they held various roles as an Event Coordinator at Days-Massolo Center, Hamilton College Chapter President at Active Minds Inc., Intern at The House of the Good Shepherd, Summer Events Coordinator at William Way Community Center, and Intern at Utica Public Library, during different years ranging from 2012 to 2016.
Kate Cieplicki Curtis graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt High School in 2012. Kate then attended Hamilton College from 2012 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Women's Studies. Later, from 2016 to 2018, they attended Relay Graduate School of Education, although their degree and field of study are unspecified. Additionally, Kate has obtained certifications including the Food Protection Manager Certification from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in August 2022 and CPR & AED certification from the American Red Cross.
