Joaquín Arribas

Joaquín Arribas has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as a Backend Developer for a freelance project. Joaquín then worked as a Mathematics Tutor at Sigma Educación from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they joined the University of Buenos Aires as a Teaching Assistant and Computer Science Popularizer, where they contributed to the popularization of the Computer Science discipline. In 2017, they became a Software Engineer Data Scientist at Mercado Libre before moving up to the position of Senior Data Scientist in 2020. Joaquín also had internships at Microsoft in 2019 and 2020 as a Software Engineer Intern. Currently, they are working at Dreamlab Technologies as the Head of Infrastructure and Data, bringing their expertise as a Sr. Data Engineer and Data Scientist.

Joaquín Arribas completed their Licenciatura in Ciencias de la Computación (Computer Science) from the University of Buenos Aires from 2012 to 2020. During the same period, they also pursued their Profesorado en Enseñanza Media y Superior en Ciencias de la Computación (Teacher Training in Technical Education) from the same university.

Prior to their tertiary education, Joaquín studied at the Escuela Superior de Comercio Carlos Pellegrini from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained the degree of Perito Mercantil (Commercial Expert).

In addition to their formal education, Joaquín has acquired various certifications. Joaquín completed the course "The Ultimate Hands-On Hadoop: Tame your Big Data!" from Udemy in December 2020, "Hadoop Big Data from scratch" from Udemy in November 2020, "Big Data Fundamentals with PySpark" from DataCamp in May 2020, "Cleaning Data with PySpark" from DataCamp in May 2020, and "Introduction to pyspark" from DataCamp in May 2020. Joaquín also completed the course "Learning Path: Data Science With Apache Spark 2" from Udemy in December 2018, "Programa Especializado - Deep Learning" from Coursera in May 2018, "Sequence Models" from Coursera in May 2018, "Convolutional Neural Networks" from Coursera in April 2018, "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from Coursera in December 2017, "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" from Coursera in November 2017, and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in October 2017. Furthermore, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge in November 2009.
