Cathy Houston

Cathy Houston has a diverse and extensive work experience in human resources. Cathy started their career in 1987 as an HR Operations Manager at Belks Department Store, where they worked until 2006. Cathy then joined UAB as a Temporary Administrative Assistant in HR for a brief period. In 2006, Cathy became an HR Director at CLP Corporation, where they worked until 2016. Currently, they hold the position of HR Director at Dreamland Bar-B-que.

Cathy Houston's education history starts with their high school education from 1979 to 1983 at Ramsay High School, where they obtained their High School diploma. Following this, they attended Xavier University of Louisiana from 1983 to 1985, focusing on Natural Sciences without obtaining a degree. Later, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1985 to 1988.

In addition to their formal education, Cathy Houston obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
