Tamelan Chauvet

Tamelan Chauvet is a dedicated teaching artist currently engaged with multiple organizations, including Girl Be Heard, People's Theatre Project, and DreamYard Project. With a background in community education as a Program and Education Specialist at LGBT Network, Tamelan has effectively delivered workshops and cultivated community relationships. Experience includes a temporary role at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center during the COVID-19 vaccination project, and previous positions in customer service and marketing. Tamelan holds a Master of Arts in Applied Theater from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor's degree from Trinity College-Hartford. Notable research work includes studies on the experiences of queer individuals within the criminal justice system as part of the Trinity College Student-Initiated Research Grant.
