Jennifer Henderson has extensive experience in education, currently serving as an Instructional Coach and Teacher Developer, as well as the Director of the Literacy Center at Charles R Drew Charter School since July 2014. Additionally, Jennifer is involved with the PAACT organization as part of the ECE Transitions Working Group and previously contributed as a member of the Atlanta Early Education Council in 2018, which focused on creating a vision for children's success in Atlanta. Prior experience includes managing teacher leadership development for Teach For America, supervising over 25 new teachers in Metro Atlanta from August 2011 to July 2014. Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Social Studies Teacher Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Georgia.

Charles R. Drew Charter School opened in 2000 as the City of Atlanta's first public charter school. Drew represents the cradle-to-college pipeline in the East Lake community and is an integral part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization led by the East Lake Foundation.
