Leonardo T. Freyre Ed.d.

Leonardo T. Freyre, Ed.D. has a diverse range of work experience. Leonardo T. currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Charles R Drew Charter School since March 2021. Prior to that, they were the President of the New Jersey Association of Bursars from April 2017 to March 2021. Leonardo also worked at Rowan University, where they held the positions of Director for Business Affairs & Bursar from April 2015 to March 2021, and Adjunct Professor from September 2020 to February 2021. Before joining Rowan University, they worked as a Bursar at the Community College of Philadelphia from May 2011 to April 2015. Leonardo's earlier roles include being a Budget Manager at Baltimore City Public Schools from January 2009 to June 2011, a School Operations Manager at EdisonLearning from August 2007 to June 2009, a University Bursar at Ross University School of Medicine from May 2005 to July 2007, and an Assistant Controller/Bursar at Sullivan County Community College from December 2001 to June 2005.

Leonardo T. Freyre, Ed.D. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management and Leadership at Marist College from 2001 to 2004. Leonardo T. then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management at Saint Elizabeth University, which they completed from 2005 to 2006.

Continuing their education, Leonardo earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education Administration from Saint Joseph's University. Leonardo T. undertook this program from 2014 to 2020, furthering their expertise in the field.

In 2022, Leonardo attended Cornell University, where they obtained a certificate in Accounting. This one-year program allowed him to enhance their knowledge and skills in this specific area.

Currently, Leonardo T. Freyre is pursuing a Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree at the William & Mary – Raymond A. Mason School of Business. This program is expected to be completed in 2024.
