Meredith Riggs Guerrero is an attorney with the Atlanta law firm of Drew Eckl & Farnham. Her practice encompasses counseling and representation of companies in employee and business-related issues. She counsels employers in crafting and implementing legally compliant policies, procedures, and handbooks, and provides training to employees on compliance with federal and state employment laws, including anti-discrimination and wage and hour laws.
A significant portion of her practice is devoted to representing companies in employment disputes, as well as disputes related to breach of contract and commercial torts. She also has experience in real estate related litigation, with an emphasis on the representation of brokers and lenders.
Meredith is a member of the firm’s diversity committee and the women’s affinity group. She is an active member of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors. She is a proud graduate of the 2018 class of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Cultivating Hispanic Leadership Institute.
Meredith graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2001, and then taught elementary school in Atlanta Public Schools for two years with the national service organization Teach For America. She received her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2008, where she graduated with honors. While in law school, she participated in Moot Court and received honors in litigation. She also had the opportunity to clerk for Justice Harold Melton of the Georgia Supreme Court for one semester in law school.
