Alex Salazar's work experience begins in 2001 when they joined the company Consultoría as Jefe de Consultoría y Capacitación. Alex stayed in this role until 2009. In 2004, they worked for Telefónica Movistar Ecuador as a Consultor de Business Intelligence. In 2010, Alex became the Gerente General at beAnalytic until February 2018. In 2010, they also became a Partner at both Adaptive Planning and Oracle.
In 2015, Alex joined Aseguradora del Sur as a Miembro del Directorio and also obtained an Inbound Certification at HubSpot. In 2017, they became the CFO and Co-Founder at Waku Inc., a CPG brand in the natural food and beverage industry. In 2018, they became a Partner for BlackLine and also became the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at FPA Financial Planning & Analytics. Finally, they became a Partner for Adaptive Insights in 2018 as well.

Alex Salazar began their education at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, where they obtained a degree in Systems from 1996 to 2002. Alex then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Escuela Politécnica Nacional from 2005 to 2007.
Following this, Alex pursued a degree in Gerencia Financiera from Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2007 to 2008. Alex then attended IDE Business School in 2014, where they gained a degree in Planificación Financiera in the field of Finanzas.
In the same year, Alex also attended Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they obtained a degree in Data Science, furthering their education in this field.
Alex has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. In November 2014, they became an Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist. In December 2015, they completed the Inbound Certification program from HubSpot, a certification they obtained from the same institution in the same month and year, reinforcing their expertise in inbound marketing.
