Dr. Fredrick McCurdy has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Fredrick currently serves as the Associate Medical Director and STAR Kids Medical Director at Driscoll Health Plan, where they are responsible for formulating policies, procedures, and reporting methods for a Medicaid product targeted towards children with special healthcare needs. In addition, they work as a Pediatric Nephrologist at Driscoll Children's Hospital. Dr. McCurdy is also a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Texas A&M Health Science Center and a Physician at HealthTap.
Furthermore, they hold the role of Founder and Advisory Board member at Children's Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP). Fredrick McCurdy, MD PhD MBA CPE FAAP FACPE completed their education in a diverse range of fields. Fredrick began their educational journey at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1971, where they pursued a PhD in Immunology. Fredrick then went on to attend the University of Nebraska College of Medicine from 1973 to 1976, earning their MD. Following this, in 1999 to 2001, McCurdy attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, obtaining an MBA with a specialization in Business.
In addition to their formal education, Dr. McCurdy has also attained several certifications. In 1977, they became a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Subsequently, in 1980, they obtained certification in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. Fredrick further specialized in Pediatric Nephrology and earned certification in this field from the Sub-Board of Pediatric Nephrology, American Board of Pediatrics, in 1982. Lastly, in 2003, they achieved the title of Certified Physician Executive from the Certifying Commission on Medical Management.
