Taku Kawane

Taku Kawane has a diverse range of work experience in various tech companies. Taku currently holds a role as VP of Products, Mobile at Drivemode, where they are tasked with building mobile apps and platforms for future Honda/Acura vehicles and EVs. Taku previously served as a Non-Executive Director at NineSigma, offering advice on product and business strategies for the company, which is poised to go public by 2024. Taku has also served as a Strategic Advisor at VRARRI, advising the startup in delivering VR/XR-based training content in the US, India, and Japan. Before that, they were the Product Management Lead at Meta, overseeing product and project managers for Messenger Data Privacy/Trust Fundamentals. Taku has also held senior roles at STRIVR, GlobaliD, and AnchorFree, including Head of Product, VP of Product Operations, and Head of Mobile Marketing, among others. In these positions, they oversaw product development, led multidisciplinary teams, and championed product vision and strategies.

Taku Kawane has a Master of Business Administration degree in Business and Technology Management from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Taku also has a Master of Engineering degree in Information Science and Technology from The University of Tokyo. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in September 2014.
