Michael Beland

Michael Beland has extensive work experience in the accounting and finance industry. Michael is currently serving as the Senior VP and Chief Accounting Officer at Driven Brands, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of Corporate Controller at Cree, where they also served as the Assistant Corporate Controller for a brief period. Before joining Cree, Michael worked at PPD, LLC as the Executive Director and Assistant Corporate Controller. Michael has also held leadership positions at OrthoSynetics, Inc., The Shaw Group Inc., PricewaterhouseCoopers, Grant Thornton, and Arthur Andersen. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in technical accounting, auditing, and quality control inspections.

Michael Beland earned a Master's degree in Accounting from The University of Southern Mississippi, which they completed from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1992, Beland obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree in Accounting from the same institution. In 2012, Beland also obtained a certification as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from the AICPA.
