Alessandro Piovaccari

Alessandro Piovaccari serves as the Chief Scientist at Circuit since July 2024, while also holding positions as Adjunct Professor at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and Visiting Professor at Università di Pavia, teaching courses related to IC design and device physics. As a prominent figure in the IEEE, Piovaccari is the Vice President of Conferences and has held various leadership roles within the Solid-State Circuits Society, including founding the Chiplets Solution for Custom IC Design Workshop and contributing to the reorganization of the Custom Integrated Circuit Conference. In addition to academic roles, Piovaccari is the Principal CEO/CTO of Apicio Enterprises, offering consulting services in the semiconductor industry and advising on various boards, including Lynceus and Silicon Catalyst. Educational credentials include an Advanced Post-Master from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
