Dr. Frank Holzweissig

Dr. Frank Holzweissig has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Dr. Frank is currently a Technical Director at Driver Trett, a position they have held since April 2023. Dr. Frank has also held the role of Associate Director at the same company from October 2018 to April 2023. Before joining Driver Trett, Dr. Holzweissig worked as a Senior Consultant at the company from September 2015 to September 2018.

Prior to their time at Driver Trett, Dr. Holzweissig worked at THOST Project Management from October 2009 to June 2015 as a Senior Planning/Project Manager. At this leading German project management consultancy firm, they worked on various projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, including rail, airport, energy, and industrial projects.

From March 2009 to September 2009, Dr. Holzweissig worked as a Senior Project Manager (Free Lance) at FHO Project Management Consulting. During this time, they were responsible for the timely delivery of the preliminary design, detailed design, and the approval process for the German Biomass Research Center. Dr. Frank also coordinated the interface between architects and specialist engineers.

Before FHO Project Management Consulting, Dr. Holzweissig worked at WPM Projektmanagement GmbH as a Senior Project Manager from October 2006 to March 2009.

From 2005 to 2006, Dr. Holzweissig served as the General Manager and Program Director at Kaufland Bau/Ladenbau. In this role, they oversaw the construction of 5-8 new self-service supermarkets, reconstruction projects, and maintenance activities for approximately 220 supermarkets and administration and data center buildings.

Dr. Holzweissig's early work experience includes a role at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, where they served as the Head of Construction Department/Project Director from 1996 to 2004. In this position, they led the construction department with full budget, staff, and reporting responsibilities, and was involved in budget planning, contract administration, and negotiation of claims. The team size under their leadership was up to 65 people.

Dr. Frank Holzweissig completed their education in the field of Construction Management. Dr. Frank obtained their Diplom Ingenieur degree from Leipzig University of Technology from 1981 to 1986. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Construction Management from the same university, completing it from 1986 to 1991.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Holzweissig has obtained several certifications. Dr. Frank received a certification in Forensic Schedule Delay Analysis from the Project Control Academy in April 2021. In March 2013, they obtained a certification in Primavera Risk Manager, and in January 2013, they obtained a certification in Extension of Time Claim Preparation from CMCS. Moreover, Dr. Holzweissig holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which they obtained in August 2009. Dr. Frank also received a certification in Primavera P6 in June 2008. In May 2001, Dr. Holzweissig completed additional studies in Business Administration from IHK Saxony (Germany). Lastly, in March 1996, they obtained a Project Management Specialist certification from GPM (IPMA).
