Gary Coward

Gary Coward has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Gary is currently working as a Quantum Expert at Diales-Expert Witness services since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Driver Trett where they held multiple roles including Operations Director, Associate Director, Technical Director, and Senior Consultant. In these roles, they were responsible for producing expert reports, supporting clients in adjudication proceedings, providing NEC contract training, and advising clients on commercial, contractual, and programming issues. Gary also managed commercial and contractual issues for a highways project under NEC3 conditions of contract. Before joining Driver Trett, Gary worked as a Commercial Manager at Converteam, where they negotiated alliances and contracts with the Ministry of Defence. Gary also worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Alstom Power Conversion Ltd, managing a £19m subcontract for the Jubilee Line Extension Project in London. Throughout their career, Gary has gained expertise in quantum analysis, claim and variation preparation, and contract negotiations.

Gary Coward graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons degree in Quantity Surveying. Gary then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Construction Law from the University of Wolverhampton between 2009 and 2011.
