Javier Sánchez Llopes

Javier Sánchez Llopes has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Javier is currently serving as the Operations Director at Driver Trett and also works as a Quantum Expert at Diales - Expert Witness services. In addition, Javier is an External Lecturer at Universidad de los Andes (CL) and holds the position of Committee Vice Chair at FIDIC - International Federation of Consulting Engineers.

Prior to their current roles, Javier worked at J.S. Held LLC as an Associate Director, where they provided construction advisory services. Javier also worked as a Contracts Specialist at DF-Duro Felguera, supporting power generation projects. Earlier in their career, Javier served as a Contracts Manager at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction, handling EPC energy projects in Canada. Javier also held various contract and project management positions at ECISA, where they oversaw residential, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments across multiple countries. Before that, they briefly worked as a Construction Consultant at Tragsatec.

Javier Sánchez Llopes has a diverse education background in the field of construction and law. Javier obtained a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering (arq técnica) from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) between 2001 and 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) in Construction Law & Arbitration at Robert Gordon University from 2013 to 2016.

In terms of additional certifications, Javier is a Contract and Commercial Management Practitioner (CCMP) from the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM). Javier is also a member of various professional institutions including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) (MCInstCES), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Javier has further enriched their knowledge and skills through various short programs. In 2013, they completed the Negotiation and Leadership program at Harvard University. In 2010, they participated in the Executive Program in Project Management at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Additionally, in 2006, they attended Vitus Bering University for a program in Construction Management.

Recently, Javier has embarked on a new academic journey and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Economics at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. The degree is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2022.
