Gary Blount has over 35 years of work experience. Gary started their career in 1984 at UPS, where they held nine different roles, ranging from Project Management to Part-time supervisor. In 2004, they joined DriveSavers Data Recovery and Digital Forensics as the Director of Global Sales, where they were responsible for providing overall vision in a global business environment and implementing long- and short-term strategies that emphasize performance and growth. Gary also oversaw promotion of a customer-centric focus, which comprised a portfolio of technological and logistical solutions to help businesses of all sizes compete and grow. In addition, they facilitated an outside sales team that were responsible to advance positive business relationships within a base of over 20,000 customers. Gary then moved on to become the Director of Customer Support, where they were responsible for providing overall vision and customer experience focus in a global business environment, while implementing strategies that emphasize performance and growth. Gary also facilitated a sales team of over 30 sales professional that were responsible to advance positive business relationships within a base of over 20,000 customers. Lastly, they were the Inbound Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for managing inside sales teams with a global customer base, with a focus on all storage media markets, such as Enterprise, Magnetic, and SSD technologies. Gary created, integrated, and implemented sales training programs and consistently exceeded sales plan results in every year and in every assignment during this time period.
Gary Blount attended San Francisco State University from 1984 to 1985, where they studied General Studies. Gary then attended Sonoma State University from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Gary also has a certification in Situational Sales Negotiations from Bay Group International.
