Aerodynamics, Performance And Simulation Lead at Dronamics

Kiril Boychev, PhD has worked as an Aerospace Engineer at DRONAMICS since 2022, a Physical Modelling Software Engineer and EDG Engineer at MathWorks since 2021, and as a PhD Student at the University of Glasgow from 2017 to 2021. During their PhD, they used an in-house computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver written in C to perform simulations of high speed flows, implemented turbulence models in the in-house CFD solver, collaborated with international research groups, held quarterly progress meetings with industry sponsors, performed undergraduate teaching and demonstration, and presented at AIAA SciTech 2020/2021/2022 and ECCOMAS 2020 conferences and authored papers in the Aerospace Science and Technology and Shock Waves journals. Prior to this, they worked as an Intern at DRONAMICS in 2016.

Kiril Boychev received their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow in 2016. Kiril then went on to earn their Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2017. In 2010, they also obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) CEFR Level C1 from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
