Prior to this role, Rafael was the Global Chief Financial Officer at WatchBox | The 1916 Company from June 2017 to June 2024, where rapid growth in e-commerce and luxury retail was experienced. Earlier experience includes serving as Operating Partner at Tarpon, managing corporate development in Asia for BRF, and leading asset management at Omega Energia. Rafael has significant venture capital experience with Barn Investimentos and has held roles in private equity at Patria Investimentos, as well as investment banking positions at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Goldman Sachs. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, and a Certificate in Global Management from INSEAD.
