Seiji Umeda

Seiji Umeda currently serves as the Head of Sales for Japan at Dropbox since July 2021. Previously, Umeda held various leadership roles at Microsoft from February 2017 to July 2021, including Executive Officer and STU A&I Lead, where responsibilities included overseeing a large team of solution specialists and managing key product lines like Azure and SQL Server. Umeda's experience at Microsoft also encompassed budget planning and talent development. Prior to this, Umeda was a Senior Director at Adobe and spent significant time at Microsoft Japan in various capacities related to Windows Server and mobile products. Umeda's career began at Sumitomo Metal Industries as a marketing manager and process engineer. Umeda earned a Master of Science in precision engineering from Kyoto University and served as a visiting researcher in Manufacturing Engineering at Cranfield University.
