Bob Elliott

Bob Elliott has significant experience in law enforcement, emergency services, and strategic planning, with a tenure at Durham Regional Police Service since August 1998, where roles have included Acting Inspector of the Equity and Inclusion Unit, Strategic Planning Manager for the Durham Live Project, and various acting inspector positions. Bob has also served as a Staff Sergeant in Operations, Incident Commander, Crisis Negotiator, and Sergeant across multiple specialized units, demonstrating expertise in crisis management, operational leadership, and equity initiatives. Prior experience includes work in the Ontario Provincial Police as part of the Intelligence Branch and as a paramedic with Durham Region Emergency Medical Services and a firefighter with Highlands East Fire Department. Bob holds a Bachelor of Policing from Charles Sturt University and advanced certificates in Public Sector Management and Paramedicine.
